September, 2006:
We are excited to announce the successful culture and availability
of a very unique fish; the Hawaiian
Resplendent angel, a cross between C. resplendens and
C.fisheri. The hybrid will be able to our customers in
November 2006 for a limited time.
We are also pleased to announce the culture of two new species;
the bandit angel, Apolemichthys
arcuatus; and the Debelius angel, Centropyge
debelius. Unfortunately, neither species was produced in
sufficient numbers to make them available at this time.
This year most of our time was dedicated to new species R&D
and we did not have the time and resources to produce the eagerly
awaited C. interruptus and C. resplendens. We
are hoping two have both species available in 2007.
September, 2005: RCT is proud to announce that
Centropyge colini and
Paracentropyge multifaciatus
have been captive-bred at our facility. Both species will be available
for purchase in November 2005.
August, 2004: Centropyge
resplendens has been successfully captive-bred at our facility.
This species is now available for purchase.
November, 2003: Construction of RCT production
facility is completed.
September, 2002: RCT produces the Japanese pygmy
angel (C. interruptus)
and becomes the first company to supply captive-bred pygmy angelfishes
to the aquarium hobby.
November, 2001: RCT first closes the life cycle
of a pygmy angelfish species in captivity with the Fisher’s
angel, C. fisheri.
